What's your 2014 1 camera, 1 lens setup?

I value variety too much. IMO it'd be silly for me to own a bunch of cameras and lenses, only to use one for a year. Maybe month by month, but even that ...

Lately I've been having fun with the HexarAF for f/2 shooting only, in Manual Mode.
I load it with TMax100 and keep an ND8 filter always on...
When there's direct sun, I overexpose a bit (1 to 2 f-stops) for filling shadows, using its 1/250 top shutter speed, and film's latitude totally covers my whites and high grays on direct sun.
When light comes down below that, or in bright shades on sunny days, I expose "correctly", yet using 1/250, so that speed is great "enough" for different kinds of good light.
For overcast days, I use 1/125 and 1/60 depending on how gray the sky is.
If light is lower, I can take the filter off, but I have never needed that on the street.
That superb autofocus and the defocusing are a pleasure, and allow faster shooting of that kind than with any other gear I know of, and obviously, in silence, with very low weight and very compact size.
Cheers,
Juan

Just ordered a Bessa R3M and a Planar 50mm, I'm getting rid of all cameras and bits which cannot just be stuffed in a bag. Basically, looking to simplify and make more convenient, all aspects of my photography. Haven't had a rangefinder in a couple of years, looking forward to it again.

I'm usually a 1+1 kinda guy, but not the same every day!! My typical 1+1 setups include:

Nikon SP 2005 + 50mm of some sort. Insert Leica M6 instead if I want a built-in meter.
Nikon F4 + 50mm f/1.2 AIS for SLR shots, or an F2 + pre-AI 5cm f/2 lens for the classic look
Linhof MT + 150mm f/2.8 Xenotar or a Polaroid 900 + 135mm Xenotar for handheld 4x5. Sometimes a 250mm Sonnar instead on the Linhof if I'm wanting longer.
Pentax 67 + 105mm f/2.4, or lately the 55-100mm zoom for my medium format itch
If I'm feeling wide-angle panoramic snapshots, one of my 4x5 cameras and a Schneider 38mm XL locked to hyperfocal with 35mm film loaded into a 6x12 back.

Probably 2/3 or more of my shooting would be with these kits. If anything, I just add a few lenses if I'm going out more seriously to shoot something specifically (events, or hiking, etc.).

Frank, if I remember correctly this was your response the first time this thread went the rounds.

"No way in hell am I limiting myself to one camera and one lens. That's crazy talk!"

Doesn't look like anything has changed much. 😀

I don't remember having answered to this one when it came up, but it would have been likely the same as it's today: an M4 in one of its types (M4, M4-2 or M4-P) and a 35mm lens.

Methinks I'm not alone in this one... 🙂

I'm not a flip-flopper. 🙂

Just embarking on a 1 year, 1 camera, 1 lens journey coinciding with my birthday.
I am going with a zeiss ikon and voigtlander vm 50 1.5.

I still find myself browsing the classifieds and reading gear reviews...
I guess Old habits die hard...

Great choice. I did the same a couple years ago with my Zeiss Ikon and the MS Optical 50/1.1 for 6 months. This is still one of my favorite combinations and I am continually tempted to go back and do it again.
