Whats your 21mm choice (M8 only)

21mm = 28mm (Roughly) on the M8.

The obvious choices are the VC offerings both in ltm and m.
Zeiss is in the game with a reasonably priced 21mm.
Down for Leica as the 21SA is not compatible?

Where do you sit?

Want a run and gun lens, shoot from hip, grip and rip...

I like the Voigtlander 21mm f4.
When I use it, I put on a 28mm finder. They work perfectly.

I have the CV 21/4 in M mount. As long as color correction is not a problem for you, this is a good lens.

There are better, more expensive options.

If software is the issue then Cornerfix is free and easy to use. It's possible to batch process images or just pick singles. Some people feels it's annoying with an additional step in post, but personally I find it effortless once set up.

I like the Voigtlander 21mm f4.5 (LTM). I have just put some of my photos taken by it on Leica M8 at my site.

There's nothing wrong with the SA 3.4 other than it won't meter. The files are fine. I haven't noticed any specific color issues, but fixing color with an M8 is really a struggle with any lens.
