A friend of mine was GIVEN a mint Nikon S2 w/ the Nikkor HC 5cm f1.4. One if his Coworkers said "here I never use this thing, you want it?"

Of corse this happens after I no longer work there ;)

Best was a Mamiya 645e for €175 that came with prism and 80mm. Turned out to be a hardly used clean 80mm Macro. Rest was in good condition as well.

My best was a radioactive summicron collapsible for 120€ five years ago... Now sold and replaced by a tabbed chrome summicron 5cm

Black Olympus OM2n with motordrive with a 50 macro for $10.
I got it at dentists garage sale. It was used to shoot teeth it's whole life.
A few olympus flashes were included which I still use on my M6.

I hate bragging, but I have to tell someone.

just got home with a nikon F photomic, non-ai 50 1.4, non-ai 135 2.8, and a one gal freezer bag overflowing with expired 120 ranging from 70s to 90s. $40 at a yard sale.

I feel kinda dirty.

I think I'm going to leave one of my handmade leather camera straps on the woman's doorstep, for the dslr she was talking about.

entire photo history at a local estate sale $150 Nikon sp w/ 3 lenses, nice but 20000 + slides taken in the 1960s at Disneyland, Las Vegas and the Worlds Fairs were nice also

Happened to stumble upon a Nikon F with plain prism, 5.8cm f/1.4 and a Nikon L35AF at a local Goodwill for $40. I scored!

For $2, I finally found the fabled "thrift store Leica" :D

Yeah ok, it's not a real Leica... and it's slow, ugly, and beat up. but oh man, you guys, that red dot. If this thing ever dies, it's coming off and going right on my Electro!

A near new Retina IIIC I found at a flea market for $40. The next week I bought a bag-o-cameras from the same seller for $30 that included a Nikkormat EL with a like new 55/3.5 macro. There was also a nice Mamiya SLR and a Ricoh SLR, both with several clean lenses.

Last weekend at a Goodwill, for $80, I picked up an OM-1 MD with the motor drive, 50mm 1.4 and LNIB 28mm 2.8.

edit: also had a vivitar 283 and a ton of filters in the box.

My Nikkor 35 f1.4 AIS for $300. I am sure there have been others sold for less but for me it was a great deal.

$29 together at a local thrift shop last Sunday. P&S cleaned up and is near mint. K1000 just needs seals and cleaned up to be in excellent shape. Lens is SMC-M 50 f2. Flash got circular filed.

I just picked up an Olympus 35 SP at a thrift store in nearly mint condition for under $40. The metering is a bit off, but perhaps replacing the battery will solve that. If not I can figure out ways to compensate.
