I love the CL meter - an analogue needle is easier and faster to use than the diodes on the M6 etc. For some reason, my exposures generally seem to be better on the CL than my other cameras
Spot metering perhaps?
My meter seems to work sometimes only. It errs on underexposing everything so I am assuming it's a battery issue too. I will try replacing the battery after I am done with this roll of film.

After doing about 15 rolls on mine, here's my experience:
Outdoors in anywhere from moderate to bright light -- the meter's spot on.
In shadow, indoors, or dark: it's 2-4 stops underexposed.
Unfortunately, I'd only really tested outdoors before my trip.
Sadly, some of those rolls were in Sagrada Familia and the Alhambra's Nasrid Palaces, and they're about 10k km from here.
(And if you're going to underexpose, Velvia's not the ideal film for that, either.)
Oh well, at least the stained glass came out super-saturated.

Sorry to hear. I have no other good ideas other than to give Sherry at Golden Touch a call. I bet she can either point you in the right direction if it's something you can do or fix it better than just about anyone else out there.
Please keep us in the loop.

Mine seems just fine. Perhaps lubrication, or as someone mentioned above, corrosion, causes it to be sticky when I first take it out for a day. I need to try the meter test button a few times to get it moving. After that, I don't have problems. It still has two original batteries and has not been upgraded for current batteries. Don't think I'll need to at this rate. Perhaps the camera was put in its carry case years ago and not used for a long time.

Mine works fine, but remember it is designed to work horizontally.
If your going to shoot verts, meter before you switch to portrait mode.
