So we all have rangefinders and love them, but sometimes an RF isn't the right camera for the job, or maybe we just have another favorite camera.

What's your favorite?

I'd have to say my favorite non-rf camera is my Rolleiflex with a 3.5 Tessar. The odd shape of it makes it a real conversation piece when I'm shooting in the city and for some reason, in Japan, TLR's are very popular among young women so it makes photographing even easier than usual. Of course the lens is fantastic and the large negative is wonderful, and the camera itself is very easy to use!

How about yours?

My Canon Elan 7e. It's the only other camera that works flawlessly, had a good built in meter, and it's not cumbersome to carry around.

Too many to choose from, but in an ideal world, with time at my disposal, it would probably have to be my Wista DX 4x5 camera. Hardly get to use it, but my ideal style of photography is making landscapes somewhere with no other people for miles around.

I'm a sucker for my Bronica ETR's, certainly not a great street camera, but it's uses are hard to duplicate with the selection of lens etc and it's not so heavy as to prevent me from taking it everywhere ( including a recent trip to the beaches and jungles of Costa Rica) when you want more negative to play with.
Regards,Peter

Nikon F3HP because the lenses available for this model are outstanding. It is rugged and has available motor drive. Another camera that I rely upon is the Nikonos-V. I have had it for years and I take it to locations where I know there is much water, sand, or dust.

Depends on the system,

35mm SLR is Olympus
MF SLR is Hasseblad
Compact 35mm is Olympus Stylus Epic
Polaroid is SX70 (the original)

Somehow similar for me:

35mm SLR is Olympus
MF SLR is Hasseblad
P&S is Hexar AF.

Although I have to admit, I like my F3HP more and more.
