What's your favourite shooting weather?

No rain, a bit of sun to have some light and shadow. Fog could be interesting, never tried it except some morning mist.

this immediately reminds me a photo of Trent Parke, taken in Sydney also

I love shooting in sun showers in the late afternoon. Doesn't happen often..but when it does, it's magical.

I've stayed off this thread so as not to derail it, it makes interesting reading to see all the responses together! I'm not sure I have favourite conditions, but some interesting ideas about overcast days so no dark shadows (which has worked well on some of my pics, thinking about it, but that wasn't be design), or a bit of mist to give some perspective and interest. Maybe on those days there will be more colour in a month or two, right now there's mostly just a range of browns - maybe that means it's monochrome season!

In Europe and North America: overcast, fog. In SE Asia: first light of the day, dusk. In South Vietnam in March and April shooting between mid-day and 5PM is hard because of the intense heat and humidity.
