I thought I was pretty much done until I came across a pretty looking Canon EF with 50f1.4 lens on eBay. Now just waiting for the mail. Does anyone here have one of these? The electro-mechanical hybred shutter sounds cool, like that new Nikon slr.
Also, what is your last/latest buy?

Rolleicord V. I used to use Yashica and love 6x6 format, but I was kinda away from the format since I got Hassy. I love the lens, but not a big fan of super long focusing throw, size and weight. I think TLR was what's been missing from my photo gear lineup lately.

I entered the MF world for the first time since the 70's, with a Fuji GW690III. Received it Tuesday and shot three rolls with it Wednesday evening. Here's a photo from it:

very nice shot!
Thank you! I'm loving MF, that's for sure. It beats the pants off 135 in smoothness and tone. Can't believe I waited so long to give it a serious try.
The EF and F1 make a nice pair.
It requires two px-625
s, but Alkaline should be fine. The Canon 50/1.4 is a real winner of a lens.

I bought a Canon 5D Mark II with the 28mm f1.8, 50mm f1.4 and 100mm f2 last week to replace my Leica M9 that I dropped and busted. And then yesterday I bought a second Leica M9. Once I get that in the mail, the Canon will fill the role as my spare camera.

Just ordered a EX- M2 from Tamarkin Camera, and a Photoequip M-Grip (original) to go with it.

Just got my hands on a Yashicaflex (model A II). First test roll, had bad flare and veiling all over the place. Made me think the lens is probably uncoated. I made a lens shade for it, but still have a lot of veiling and I'm quite sure the lens hood was keeping the sun off the front element, so I'm at a loss as to what is going on.
But that's my most recent purchase.
Cheers

I'm done. Hmmm, Helen. I've heard that before somewhere. Now I say that I'm "pretty much" done.
