nextreme, you shouldn't be getting a lot of flare, even w/ an uncoated lens. Take a close look and see if you don't possibly have some haze going on in there.

I'm waiting on a Rolleiflex E3 w/ Planar to arrive. The scheme is to have a one roll shootout w/ my T, and the loser goes away. Also bought another Leicaflex SL w/ 50 Summi because I have been kicking myself since selling my old one. My 'blad will have to be sold to pay for that. That's my agreement w/ myself. If I buy something, I have to sell something to pay for it.

Does anyone have a camera they can sell swood for $103? I hate to see that money just sitting around :)

I picked up a new 35 Titanium Summilux, but after sitting on the dealers shelf for 20 years
it has a bit of fungus. So that was sent off to Leica for service.

Well, I got nutty this week and got the black SWC/M outfit seen here in the classifieds. Wow, I've wanted one for a long time, having sold my SWC in 1981. Also scored a C/V 50mm viewfinder. It is not good wishing for what you want as you'll likely get it.

Now I must decide which cameras and lenses to sell here to recoup what I spent this week. And so it goes...

I have a pre-war Retina I coming from Mike Elek and an OM2n with Zuiko 50 f1.4 coming from mynikonf2 here at RFF. I got these with my "cans for cameras" recycle campaign money. That is a lot of aluminum cans , folks!

Hey Bob! Louise told me abt your latest acquisition... you naughty boy!

I haven't bought anything in awhile; I'm still in shedding mode. But I did get my R3A back from Looking Glass today, and the rf patch is dead on. Damn! I may keep it after all.:)

I found a beautiful chrome M2 -- the type that has the tulip loading of the M4s. I am experienced with Ms and overall the M2's simplicity makes it my favourite M.

About your Canon EF: For many years I used Canon FD series cameras & lenses (TL, then A1) and had always thought the F1 would be great to use. Just before getting out of the whole system I did handle an F1 and was surprised at how heavy it was compared to the A1. Then I came across an EF and it seemed to be the perfect FD camera body – basically built on the F1 frame without the interchangeable prism, and it had that fabulous overhanging M5 style shutter speed dial. If I had come across one in good shape I may very well have kept my FD lenses. I’m sure you’ll really enjoy using yours when it arrives.

My own latest purchase: a lowly 35/135 ltm adapter – to try out a Nikkor QC 135/3.5 sonnar that I bought a while back.

Bought a cheapo Ross 180mm lens for $40 for my 4x5 from ebay. Hoping to get some more free time to take her out once I'am done with my thesis defense (which is tommorow :eek::eek:). I think my RF kit is complete. The Zeiss Planar and CV 15mm are fantastic

Well after years of saying I'd never need to buy a new tripod I bought a new travel tripod and took it on a trip recently. It's great and I highly recommend this rig; Gitzo 1541T legs with a Markins Q3T ballhead. Very light and very sturdy.
