Here in Melbourne we have Vanbar and Michaels, but my film still comes from the US. I would love to support local business but up to triple the price is just to much.
At least my film "Wirt kosher gemacht"

Film is legal for recreational purposes in this state. But we are considered dangerously radical.

There are any number of places around where one can purchase film.
Unfortunately the selection of available stocks has radically diminished over the last few years, but nevertheless, the remaining flavours are still easily obtained.
Downtown Camera here in Toronto is making a huge effort to keep film photography alive and well by selling film and film cameras as well as providing processing.
They do all my E-6.

Unfortunately I can't get my 'fix' locally or any place in Dhaka (Bangladesh). I'm probably the only B&W film shooter in Dhaka (that I'm aware of).
.... Anyway, I get mine largely from Maco Direct and Yodobashi and BIC Camera. Oh I also get occasional gifts from relatives. My father-in-law, for e.g., recently gave me 25 120 rolls of Acros 100.
To put it mildly, it takes some planning and considerably more time before I buy something. :|

Interestingly Spain didn't use to be a place with much selection and had a bit of mark up on film prices. Back in 2010 or so I remember getting some film from UK. UK and Germany seemed to be the countries for film in EU, then US and Japan on the other sides.
But a lab opened around '13, in the style of FINDlab, Indie, RPL et al. These labs that work online and follow a different approach. Then they carried film with very small mark up and prices comparable or even better than the main retailers (maco, etc).
They seem to be quite succesful, attracting customers from abroad and being popular with Russians!
Curious it is located in neither of the main cities, Madrid and Barcelona. If they were in the latter I'd drop around more frequently.

What about foto-r3 in Spain http://www.foto-r3.com/ ?
And are there any others like them?
But indeed, Germany is by far the biggest film market in Europe. Followed by the UK.
Italy is gaining some strenghts again. And in Poland film photography seems to be quite popular, too.
