Any info out there?
I'm looking forward to using this, but from the lens roadmap it seems there's three other lenses which will come out before this one!
Still it looks to be first quarter or at least first half of 2013, no?
Thanks!

Would be nice to have the 23 f1.4 as well ;-)

ummmmm
a FOV of a 90mm with a f/1.4...native AF
Why not a Old Minolta 58mm f/1.4 in the mean time?

It would be!
Just wondering if any info is available, or if it's more of a wait-and-see type of thing.

Well, I already have a Nikkor 50/1.4 AFS G which I could use with an adapter, but I want to get the XF 56 anyway. Since I will be quite busy the first three months and won't have many chances to use the kit, I'm really wondering whether I should order the adapter or if the lens will be available around May.
Otherwise a good suggestion... I've heard nice things about the Minolta!

Too bad. Good to know nonetheless.

Well, that's a little bit frustrating for me. The 56 is my next lens purchase, and I will not buy whichever super wide I decide on until after that one. I've been expecting it for the second half 2013, but was hoping for earlier. Now, I'm just hoping it's not 2014. In the interim, I have the XF18-55 and a Nikkor 50 1.8 Ais with adapter to fill in that gap. Hopefully, time will fly!

How well does the Nikkor perform with an adaptor?

So far, I'd have to say mixed results. Shooting through the evf is not my preferred method, but I am becoming more comfortable with it. As I've been out of town, I haven't been able to review my test results on a good monitor, yet. It is very sharp, but I'm seeing a bit of veiling flare with very contrasty subjects in harsh light. Also, colors seem a bit softer than with Fuji 35mm. I'm attributing much of this to the dust inside my copy of the Nikkor. I took a close look at it and was shocked to find quite a bit of "micro dust" inside the elements. I'm now thinking this may be an advantage, as my intended use at that focal length is for portraiture. I'm going to shoot some in b&w, I think the flaws may give it a slight, dreamy vintage look and feel that should work well for portraiture, particularly for women and children. Not as much as an old Leitz Thambar lens or a Zeiss Softar filter, but should be fun. I suspect a clean copy would have much less of this effect.
