From one of the tall grass prairie states in midwestern US and now live in the high desert in the western US, in Salt Lake City, Utah. - jim

I wrote the above post in 2014 but, a year ago I moved back to Iowa the tall grass prairie state in the midwestern US. Iowa is mosly all farm land so agriculture is the mainstay of our economy. I feel like I am back home again. - jim

Born and raised in Miami county Ohio, USA...then:
Austin, Texas
Virginia Beach, Virginia
a long stay in Los Angeles, California (El Segundo, Playa del Rey)
about a year in the Alameda-east loft district..
A brief stay in Hammersmith, London, England...
back to LA/PDR
and finally back to my childhood home in SW Ohio

Having read the whole thread, and seen the original intention, I have to qualify my previous answer. I live in Dunedin, New Zealand, but I come from England. I emigrated to New Zealand, with my parents, in 1954.

Born in Boston. Lived in Jacksonville, Fl; Beaufort, SC; Dallas, TX; and now Seattle for the past 20+ years. Also spent a year+ each in Rutland, VT; Miami, FL and Larkspur, CA living out of a hotel while working on projects.

One thing for sure is you can find beautiful scenery and wonderful people wherever you go!

I voted Europe, but given that our dear leader has now invoked Article 50, perhaps I should have said 'elsewhere' - somewhere off the coast of mainland Europe.

Likewise. Clicked Europe as I would identify myself as a European but I'm currently trapped on the insular little island of gullible mouth-breathers commonly known as Britain. Specifically Leeds in the north of England.

I guess a lot depends on whether you are happier about where you were born, or where you are now.

Personally, I'm very happy to have been both born and live in Australia (despite the current standard of our State and Federal politicians).
