Where are you shooting this weekend?

i'm about ready to head to whyte avenue for breakfast.
should be a small group today, also long weekend and folk festivals have started etc.

hope to shoot at the market, on whyte also.
tomorrow is heritage festival, lots of diverse cultures/food/costumes but very crowded.

have 35 and 50 ready to go.

I just dropped off a roll taken around Toronto with a Bessa-R and a Jupiter-8, and another roll that includes lame pictures of leaves, flowers and dogs and people at the "dog park", taken with a Zorki 3M with a Jupiter-12 (because I've never had results with the J-12 that were at all satisfying) and with a Jupiter-3.

For the rest of the weekend? My Retina IIa is loaded.
 
I don't know where you 'Toronto area types' have been hiding but the largest Caribana event in North America is on here this weekend! About 100,000 people have been coming in since Thursday.

I'm shootin' it.

Correction: Half of the Bessa-R roll was with J-8, the rest with Industar-61 l/d.

Where would be a good place to go, to shoot some Caribana?

I had planned to shoot a Civil War re-enactment but it looks like rain, so I guess I'll just stay home and do nothing as far as taking pictures is concerned. Too far to drive to watch people standing in the rain.

Go along Lakeshore.. it's packed though... so be prepared if you do go down there.

As for me.. I have another "portfolio" shoot to do today.. with my (D)SLR equipment.. I'll be bringing the bessa along to fire off a few "candid" B&W shots as well 🙂

There is biker rally in downtown Ocala, FL today. Well, actually they were having a thing yesterday but I am hoping there are some people still hanging around. Will be heading down there in a couple of hours. Happy snaps guys/gals!
 
About to leave for a family reunion. It's at a small local park with a pond and beach. Since it's mostly people I don't know (wife's side) I should be reasonably uninhibited. Tmax 400 for the Speed Graphic, Fuji Reala in the Moskva 5 (with mask in since my lab will print 6x6 but not 6x9) and Plus-X in the Karat 36 with a nice new to me yellow filter. Should be a big pile of fun, especially if there is any focusing fluid to be found... 😀

in an hour I'll be heading to Oshkosh, WI for the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association).. during this week every year, the small county airport becomes the busiest airport in the world... every type of plane from ultralights to WW2 fighters and bombers, modern military jets and tons of stunt pilots

I plan on going through at least 4 rolls of film.. half Tri-x and half 400UC
 
Well, my wife's working all weekend, so I'm spending much of my time counting inversions...

I need to work this weekend 🙁 I have to cook a private dinner so I *MAY* take my SLR so I can do some close focusing on food and stuff like that.
 
Oh.. and Bill,
I'll be in Kensington tomorrow afternoon - there's some sort of "water festival" going on.. I plan on bringing a raincoat for the Bessa 😉

I'll be at the Asian Festival in Little Rock, shooting the Canon 7s with CV 35/2.5. I should bring out the Rapid Omega to test it more, including testing how people react to it. Food, martial arts demos and dance performances, but both cameras have fairly fresh rolls of black and white in them already. Gotta shot fast and reload 400UC.

I was expecting a whole lot of the few Asians in Arkansas will be here, but I don't know now. I was actually in one of the Asian groceries when my girlfriend called to remind me, and the store looked like any other weekend. (Saturday is the big Asian shopping day here, as all the imported/specialty groceries are trucked in from Texas on Friday night). But who knows, the tagline for the festival is “There Is No Other Event Quite Like It.” 😛
