Take a look at SRB-griturn - they have filters and adaptors in all sorts of sizes inc 40.5mm and can even make to order if needed...

Hello, I have 40.5mm filters if you are still looking. I have a really nice set of Walz (chrome finish) set of (6) filters in brown leather case with Walz for Sonnar metal cut-out hood in 40.5mm. Let me know if you are still looking and I can send you some info. on what I have available.

Funny you should ask. I just received a 40.5mm Zeiss Ikon orange filter with it's case today. I'm gonna share a secret to my ebay searching success! When you search auctions, click stores in the tabs above. Sometimes it reveals much more. Since I've found just about all I need I don't mind sharing my secret! Oh, the Walz filters are great too.

kevinscameras is another place to look but sometimes expensive. Pacific Rim too. Ritzcam.com ( collectable cameras )--not ritzcamera.com. I bought some B+W filters from them and they were pretty good people to buy from.

40.5mm is a standard size. I've bought them from B&H (B+W usually).

Another possibility is that Linhof used to make 42mm drop-in filters in nice little sets of four or six filters with a lens hood and a leather case. I have one and have seen a couple of different versions show up on eBay. The hood and filter holder clamp onto the outside of the lens and should work with any lens with a 40.5mm filter thread. The filters slide into a filter slot on the lens hood. Linhof filters have generally been made by Heliopan, so they're high quality filters.

Well, you'd think 40.5 would be fairly easy to find in general, but it wasn't until the last few weeks that I'd been able to snag a proper screw-on metal hood for my Konica M-Hex 50mm f/2 (the built-in, slide-out works fine generally, but in terms or impact-protection, not-so-hot). The stuff is Out There, but patience truly is a virtue in searching for what you want.
