are you referring to color or b&w? you can develop your own b&w film (120 or 135) relatively easy and cheap.. but color film is a different story

Joe is correct, good photo shop will have a cardboard box with everything for 1GBP and it may cost you 10GPB but you will have every thing for B&W ex the chemicals, another 10GPB...
