Hi friends,

I have been reading a lot for teh past few days about the hexar after handling it for a while from my friend. Love teh ergonimics and since i already own a Hexanon 50mm f2 i have been seriously thinking about one to support my leica M6. Also the hexanon 50mm has focus issues on my M6 but I still do not wanna sell it as its the best , perhaps even better than my summicron.

So wanna know where do I buy a Hexar now in USA? I dont see them being sold here for a while and neither KEH is carrying them.Just wanna buy it from a reliable source as servicing is difficult i believe in USA.

Need your thoughts and views.

Be patient! They do sell here once in a while - I got mine from a RFF member in new condition for a very fair price! And you still have your M6 (as I have too) so there should be no reason for a hurry ( except urgent GAS. ) otherwise: evil bay should offer some.

They are realy great cameras- I use mine twice as much as the M6 when shooting 35mm
Good luck!

I live in Australia and bought a very expensive lens of KEH. Was nervous at the time. but It was in fantastic condition and arrived in such as well. They are reliable.

I too always get my stuffs from Keh. But they donot have Konica Hexar RF in stock. Have been looking for one . Wondering if anyone knows of a place I can get one which is quite reliable.

Yeah I did see it. But wondering how good will the used one be at 8+. I mean I have never bought used item from B&H.Also I don't want to end up in trouble when I buy a fully electronic camera if there's no service available in USA.
Wondering if its a wise move to get it from B&H.

Buy from the classifieds here and look up Buzzardkid's web site and the thread on here about how to repair the shutter button issue yourself.

The 50mm M-Hexanon can easily be adjusted. Had it done at a local camera repair shop that has a collimator, but I had a DIY solution in place before (very thin layers of sticky copper foil on the cam).

RFF sponsor "Japan Camera Hunter"

Bellamy would be able to find you a nice Hexar... He would also be be able to assist in any repairs should the need arise by dealing directly with Sony Japan on your behalf ....
