I'm trying to "perfect" my lubitel, I know this camera gets a bad rap but I'm trying to make it work 😉
See first picture, this is the back seen with the viewfinder at the top, looking through the lens from the back with the film door open. I used triple plush black velvet (highly recommended and tested from my research as being the best for removing interior reflections and improving contrast by telescope community)
I flocked the inside, but I'm getting fringing on images (see image 2 and 3).
Where do I need to trim? I don't know if/how the image is inverted and which sides are represented oriented with the first picture. It looks like the left side of images has a lot of fringing, top and bottom and have some. Lower left corner has a build up of flocking.
Also there is a light leak visible in the upper right corner of image 3, what's causing this? Which area of flocking cord on the film door do I need to check? It looks like the cords glued in the film door "grooves" are a little "crusty". Or maybe it's just the red window?
Also if I trim the interior flocking, will light reflect from the edge of the side without the flocking, so maybe I should paint those small sections with flat black paint when I trim the velvet flocking?
