Hi everybody, the reason I was asking this is because I just threw one roll of Fuji Slidefilm and another Lomo Ladygrey (Yes these are Lomo film...) into my freezer... Being relatively new to film, I would like to ask everybody for their opinion and make a conclusion... Haha... So what do you all think?

Have a nice day!

The freezer is the best place for long term storage, as long as you let the film fully thaw before use (maybe 6-8 hours). A refrigerator is a better option for short term storage in high temp high humidity local such as yours, as the thaw time is less.

for sure. A few rolls in frig for quick use.

I second that motion: Freezer for long term storage; Refrigerator for short term storage. It's been working well in my house for forty years. I've taken Tri-X out of the freezer that's been expired for years and it seems to work just fine.

Freezer too for long term storage. I occupy the bottom drawer, something about telling people the "fumes" will not contaminate the other compartments. I'm sure there's no science behind it, but it makes others feel better, so lets go with it.

Thaw the night before shooting day.

Regularly used film stays in my study drawer. Bought some plastic partitions at the local $1 store to separate between empty canisters, used canisters, and ones loaded with film. I use reusable cassettes for those.

I've a couple bulk loaders in a drawer with my 50 and 400 ISO b/w film and some old expired slide film for xprocessing in the freezer.

Thanks for the replies everyone, seems that I am only using a small amount of film compared to everyone else! I am sure there will be many many more rolls to come.

Especially if you use a small amount, it's handy to freeze what you don't need. The past year I bought quite a bit of film. For every five-pack that I bought, I generally stash four in the freezer and keep the single roll in a box. I have about... 70 or so rolls in the freezer, half a dozen in the fridge and a dozen or so at room temperature.

If I need a special roll from the freezer, I'll store it in the fridge for a few hours then let it sit at room temperature for a while before use.

So far I've succesfully frozen, thawed and used 35mm, 120 and 110 film. Didn't have any issues. Not all 'film' takes kindly to this though - you can't freeze any polaroid stuff because of the chemical packs in it.

Here!

Can't you see it?

It's a cabinet right by my trusty MacBook! Ha & Smiles!

Also have a mini freezer in the basement that's well stocked!
