I've been looking for a few months now and not seen them in the classifieds as much as before...

Have they all fallen apart? Or do they inspire some form of unseperable love now? 🙂

I sold mine in the classifieds a while ago ... and now wished I hadn't. I've been thinking of looking for another one! 😛

I have two that I have no plans of selling. One is being used for a loupe on the lightbox at the moment, waiting for the arrival of my second M5. The other is on the shelf because I am currently in love with my Nokton 35mm f1.2 on my M5. What a combo!

But the Nokton 50mm f1.5 must the most overlooked 50mm out there...

They're not exactly expensive new either ... $359.00 from the bartender! $250.00 to $280.00 seems to be the going price used.

Tax+duty adds 25%, then the £/$ exchange rate... It's a killer.

I also heard that it is due for a replacement, sprucing up like the 28/2, 35/2.5...

I have one! I HATE 50mm lenses in general and dislike the way the Nokton handles specular highlights so I really have no idea why I have it... but still no intention of parting with it :bang:

It's a very great lens. I'm sure many people don't want to sell. Seriously, if I could only keep one lens, it would be the Nokton. Luckily I can have more 😱

I sold one two months ago. Too big, too sharp, too modern ... I did find a seller in a few minutes though. I tried a Jupiter 8 afterwards, yet ergonomics where bad despite good picture quality. So finally last night, I got a used summicron and it looks like it is right what I was looking for.

I have an original Voigtlaender Prominent Nokton 50mm/1.5. Such a lens did very well in a comparison of 50mm lenses (I had two loaners for the testing), so I searched for a Nokton until I found in an antique store a Prominent with two lenses.

I have no intentions of selling mine. it's going to get a beautiful nokton 1.2/35 (the incredible kully-lens-set) to be its roommate and they will be happy everafter. 🙂

I've seen some on eBay (the old Voigtländer ones, yes) but the prices are so high for and old lense like that. I guess people rather buy a Summilux or a newer Nokton and why wouldn't they?
