I can't vouch personally (I do my own) but they've been around ever since I moved here 20 years ago.

Frank Petronio
Well-known
Edgar Praus is an excellent wet printer: http://www.4photolab.com/
BookSmart Studios does great inkjet work: http://www.booksmartstudio.com/
Both are geared to work long distance, one on one, without being outrageously overly priced - just reasonably expensive for custom work, lol.
I do not know of many individual labs that are good at both digital and wet printing. Of course the larger pro labs like Duggal in NYC can do everything but it's not like you'd get personal service from them either.
The one exception might be Bob Carnie at http://www.elevatordigital.ca/ in Toronto. He has a Durst Lambda so he can print digital files onto wet-silver-fiber paper and it is wonderful - he did a couple of prints for me and they are the best yet - not cheap though, $200 for an 11x14. Not that difficult to work across the border either. They also do an entire range of services and seem to be top-notch, quality people.

Paul- I run a small custom black and white wet lab in Louisville, KY. I offer custom hand processing of all traditional black and white films from 35mm to 20x24, and wet prints on fiber papers up to four feet on the longest dimension. I do silver printing, platinum/palladium, and cyanotypes. I have 25 years experience printing; I studied under a number of world class printers including George Tice and Jim McGargee. I first worked in a lab professionally 14 years ago at a high end custom lab in NYC. My business is very small- it's just me, so I can offer very personalized service. I do not have any web presence right now, but I have printed for a couple of RFF members, as well as a small list of clients from around the world (mostly fashion and fine art photographers), all of whom are quite happy with my work. I'm happy to send sample prints; I also will make sample prints of your negatives for a reduced fee so you can see how I would handle your work. PM or email me if you are interested.
