Then and now, the small mountain community of Manitou Springs, Colorado, just west of Colorado Springs, has been a tourist town. In the past, visitors traveled to the town for its springs and spas. Today, especially during the winter holidays and the summer season, people visit the town for its art, antiques, and crafts, its arcade and concessions. Life moves slowly, in a good way, in Manitou Springs.
