lol, that is a great idea !

or, where the culprit can only be named via anagram ...

for example ... "the guy that took my money but never sent the camera was named: He Cat " 😀

Anagrams are an excellent idea!
we can do a Rennes le Chateau mystery parchment thing, were we have to pick certain letters in a long and boring thread that have a geometric shape placed on them.
this geometric shape will be gotten from a cryptic photograph you supply. Imagine the fun!!

Joe,

Precisely, it was purely a sarcastic jest/example poking fun at the recent 'confessional' threads.

I do have a question though: the search function on the old FEEDBACK thread seems to be inoperative. Any idea why? Did Jorge disable it in lieu of the new feedback system in the new classifieds? It makes it very unwieldy and tedious to manually/visually search page after page.

thanks

Darn, what did I miss?

Was it...

a) "I sold item X to person Y and he/she became impatient waiting for it",
b) "This item on eBay is sooo a fake." - And it wasn't, or
c) Some general comments on how the feedback section could be enhanced?

🙂

it was like "a" ,where the poor victim paid his money and 2 months later, no camera. a hypothetical whodoneit rant with no names mentioned that are getting very very popular here.

Rich,

The short of it was ... I took a sarcastic swipe at the number of threads lately where members describe negative transaction experiences with dealers or fellow RFF members, but refuse to name the culprits. Thus, contributing to and indeed dooming the rest of the community to repeat their mistakes and suffer the same fate.

I advocated that if one wishes to bitch about a transaction, one should name names and protect the community, or go home 😛

Maybe not THAT many threads, but these threads are like drinking Southern Comfort, a small dose is enough to trigger nausea.

By the way, Joe, if you have the ability to retrieve and insert the original thread, you are welcomed to. Otherwise people may think we are talking in tongues.

not really that many Joe,
but the few that we had.. have been like a fine single malt Scotch whisky,
in that they leave an unforgetable taste in your mouth
that is not too easily forgotten.
