Crying 'WOLF' without a point ....
I am sad to report that I've recently had a horrible dealing with a regular RFF member who received my cashiers check for a high-ticket $1500 camera but never sent the camera. It has been 2 months since I've paid. He has refused to answer any emails and my bank shows the check has been cashed.
But I won't name him. If he sees this thread, I hope his conscience will cause him to 'out' himself.
And in the meantime, if another RFF member gets cheated, I am sorry about that. Really, I am.

Does anyone else find these sorts of postings infuriating? There seems to be more of them everyday.
May I respectfully suggest that this is a community, first and foremost. If a member has had a dealing that he/she thinks the community absolutely needs to know about --- as evidenced by the fact that they are talking about it --- please do so in a manner which is constructive for the community, rather than destructive.
Laying the specter that there are dishonest dealers in the community, and then keeping silent about it makes you a contributor to any future fradulent and/or unpleasant dealings for another RFF member who might suffer the same fate.
I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate a neighbor flippantly telling you that there is a child molester living in the neighborhood, but refusing to disclose who it is so you can protect your child. In other words, if your thread has no purpose but to spread anonymous suspicions among the community with no point or constructive purpose, why do it?
If a member feels strongly enough about a transaction to talk about it, name names !!! Name the positives, name the negatives. But please, no more of this half-hearted confessional. It undermines the camaraderie of the community without any constructive virtues.
And for those whose sensibilities are too delicate to learn names, please assauge your sensibilities by not reading these threads And please don't read the Feedback threads on RFF or Ebay either before you make a purchase or sale, they take all the fun out of playing russian roulette
