I thought this lens HAD to be a cult classic!!!

I was very lucky enough to meet up with a RFF member awhile ago who let me use it for a couple of hours on my Bessa T and I thoguht it was a sweet lens, top build quality and the optics are great as well.

<<<Actually Tim if you read this I just go tthat roll of film back....I left it in a bag that I lent to a friend who only recently returned the bag...aghhhh>>>

well, stu's got that lens now........

i can vouch for the fact that it's a sweet lens, in fact the only reason i moved it on was the fact that i liked the focal length so much, but got the shits with changng lenses, that i bought a tri-elmar for hiking.........

hey ashley, you gonna do the camera market thing again this july?

Thanks to all for your recommendations on this lens. I picked one up and it hasn't left my CLE since. Very sharp, built like a tank, and small. A beauty.

I have two in my gallery, the red MG and the park bench in the town square. I have attached one to the message of a grain elevator in my hometown. I like the color saturation and the contrast. I have no reservations in recommending this little lens, nicely built if I say so.

Very nice. How does the lens perform wide-open?

Even wide-open it's terrific!

I just got this back from the lab here in Enid. I scanned the print on an Epson 3170 at 96 and saved to my hard drive. The color is untouched in order to see the ability of the 28mm to capture subtle colors. I love this lens. My greatest challenge with it is to keep it parallel to the subject to avoid the leaning horizontals or verticals. I will persist.

Congratulations, Ray; I'm sure you'll get good use from this excellent little lens! The 75° angle of view is a favorite in several film formats... 55mm on 6x7, 45mm on 645... Indeed I just found the equivalent for Olympus Pen F (20mm f/3.5 Zuiko) on eBay! Enjoy...

Thanks, Doug. Aaah...the Oly Pen F. I have one I bought off an RFF member. I love it! Blast to shoot with, and lots of fun lenses and gear to acquire. I've got the 25, 38, 40 and 100. The double-stroke is very cool, too. 😀
