Where is your Hexar RF?

Mine sits tucked away in the corner of my "RF" shelf, next the the M6TTL. Neither gets much use these days (the RD1 is the main camera), yet I can't seem to part with them either....

FWIW, I love the Hexar RF and wish Sony-Konica-Minolta would whip up a Hexar RF-D... they've got all the parts.

A digital Hexar would be so nice, indeed. But I'd want a full-frame sensor since I'd want the Hexanon lenses to retain their 35mm focal length. So that's basically not going to happen!

...but now that you mention her, shes out of the drawer 😉

I'm also looking forward that. Full Frame sensor will be just a dream ,...

That and make sure they drop a canon sensor in there.. just look at these images from the 30D.. absolutely gorgeous... Canon is KING of digital.. no doubt.

Hey ywenz, is there a point in the foreseeable future when you'll waltz from here and over to DSLRxchange (or another digi-SLR or Canon forum) and let us be happy and content with our RF cameras?

Okay thanks.

mine's in the glove compartment. Always in there with a variety of films and a CV28 1.9 and 40mm Summi.......

Btw, ywenz, i love how your process your photos. Care to share how u get the slight green casting and reduce the super punchy look that i often get with digital pics?

Mine sits with my M6 and I guiltily take them out and click the shutter a few times. But since the rd1 and the m8...... I feel very guilty. But I can't part with either.

Erik,

Great job! I was hoping that I wasn't the only one thinking the same thing. Maybe he should go busta rhyme with his rap homies 😀

Sherm: you're a trip, don't ever let anyone tell you else wise. if you don't care to fantasize about the digital Hexar RF with us, then don't. Simple choice for you to make.

hey dude, it's all in the curves tool in photoshop. Adjust until perfection! Also, add a light grey or pinkish overlay layer in photoshop to fill in the blown highlights.

Digital Hexar RF with a full-frame sensor and OIS? I would pay $10K easy - and sell my beloved film Hexar (and a couple of other bodies/lenses) to do it! And I don't give two s**ts who makes the sensor - it's all about globalization and cross-marketing baby - so long as it is big and not too noisy at ISO 800. Where is Hasselblad sourcing thier sensors? Hmmmm 16Mpx and 36x36? Can it be done?

I don't own and never owned any digital gear but honestly I always lust for something digital now a days and even just now I'm researching for GRD for small-sub-digi-wide-angle-camera.
But I end up comming back to Hexar or M3... back to film.
I always get a strange suduction from Hexar RF that I can not resist.

When I speak of my Hexar, it's in terms of my much loved RF. Even though I now own a Leica M6 ttl, I'll never part with my first love (it was my intro. to rangefinder photography). Best thing was I bought it when Konica Australia were having a runout sale and got the boxed outfit with the 50, 28 and 90 Hex M lenses at not much more than a third of what the kit was originally priced at. Have since added a Hex 35UC. Sell them?? not in this lifetime. Do I dream of upgrading to Leica glass??, never. It's hard for me to believe that anyone could make lenses considerably better than the Hex's.

Mine has been sitting @ Dag for over 3 months. It was sent in along with a 50mm Summicron to check compatability with M lenses and adjust infinity. Just spoke to Don and got a promise to finish it today, so hope to have it back real soon. I love my M7, but the Hexar RF is great for the wide stuff.
