Congrats Calzone. You won't regret it. The files from MM are so maleable and details are impressive. I use mostly vintage lense to balance its high accutance. Using vintage lenses made the files output less clinical and perfect. It is simply beautiful piece of photographic instrument. I also own M9-P. MM actually helps to appreciate color shots from M9-P as I have been mostly a b&w shooter. I used to use M6 solely for B&W Film - missed using those agfa, ilford...

Nothing wrong - just personal preference. Vintage lenses also posses their own signatures. I love perfect pictures too - don't get me wrong, e.g., the sharpness of Summicron 50 pre-asph also astounding but too harsh and too much details for portraiture.

When it comes to buying new high-end gear, I usually just call one of my favorite dealers (Dan Tamarkin of tamarkin.com or Alex at popflash.com), check availability, place an order, and wait. Good folks, personal service, etc.
I'm never in a rush, and the equipment has always arrived before I expected it.

I have a 28 Cron and a 50 Lux ASPH, both ASPH lenses, but I think I will favor my 35/1.8 Nikkor in LTM and use my 75 Lux like a 50 on the Monochrome as the go to lenses. The retro glass offers less/lower contrast and the signature of the older glass are nice complements to the clean look of a MM.
For film I love the modern glass for all that clarity and detail. Not sure if on digital it might be too much, when compared to the retro glass. The added contrast is also a bonus.
