Where to buy CV lenses in Europe?

Yes, I did my research. But the links to the supposed Dutch and German dealers revealed that they only carried a limited number of Bessa cameras, not lenses.

Maybe the lenses are special order only (it's a bit hard to call a shop during Easter 😀) but I'm spoiled by the convenience of on-line shopping.

So, anything obvious I overlooked? The dollar is cheap, so I can probably order from Stephen Gandy, but with taxes etc. it isn't even that cheap anymore.

Robert White can deliver overnight throughout Europe if you order by about lunchtime.

They are very friendly and knowledgable people to deal with.

You may try https://www.leicashop.com (it's located in Austria). I never ordered a lens there but the softreleases came always fast. They have a long list of CV lenses.

I order my stuff from www.chiifcameras.com friendly, fast and reliable. 2-3 days from Singapore isn't slow - except that customs in Norway held it for 5 days;-)

I used to buy by ordering through Combi. But the Voigtlander dealership went from Combi to Ringfoto in 2006/2007.

These lenses are also sold in Germany by Brenner. And if you don't need to buy them online, I bought my Bessa R and 35mm and 50mm Color Skopars in Aachen from Audiophil-Foto: seemingly small shop with big choice and great service.

In Brussels Voigtländer cameras and lenses are available from Campion (they don't have an internet presence, but also have a great second hand shop across the street).

I've placed orders with Stephen and never had to pay taxes etc once as he's always put a low value on the paperwork (I didn't ask him to). Maybe different in Holland (I'm in the UK) but I'd have no hesitation ordering from him. It's saved me loads compared to Robert White's prices.

OTOH, I just ordered from B&H and got stung because they put the full value on the parcel. Will think twice about using them again.

Half the price of the European sales places... VERY tempted to get the 40/1.4 for my CLE.

Try Chiff in Singapore does a better deal than what you can get in the US and the low value paper work makes it all an added bonus for the buyer. Great service
