Hey all,

I would like to know where i can buy any lens for Mamiya 7II?

I checked many websites and it seems this camera is expensive, KEH.com delayed an order i placed for almost 3 weeks now, so i will not choose them to buy this camera because of the delay, B&H/Adorama both have this camera at high prices even as used, so if i will buy a used with Lens above $2000 then i better buy a new body for above $2000 [about $2400] and get any used lens so i will be nearly $3000 but with a new camera and used lens rather than i pay $2000 for both used, i found a website where i can get the camera and the lens for about $1900 [exl the shipping], the body only about $1200 with shipping, so if the body is roughly new then i will get the body and save by getting a used lens, so i asked here as i think here is the best website about this camera, where do you think i can get cheaper prices of lenses for Mamiya 7II?

I would like to go with 50mm or 43mm, mostly 43mm getting my attention more, but i will not regret if i go with 65mm or 80mm, at least i want to be in wide side not necessary the widest.

I bought my 65mm here on the RFF classifieds. Very good deal. (2008)

I bought my 50mm from KEH. Fair price and like so many KEH things, was listed as EXC but looked brand new. (early 2005)

I bought my 80mm with the body on an E-Bay BIN deal that was incredible. (2004)

You have to wait for a motivated seller and not be an inpatient buyer if you want the best deals.

I find I now use the 65mm just about all the time.

I'm right there with you. I'm waiting for a 50 to pop up.

Cool, why so 50?

I didn't understand your point?!!!

Where is the classifieds on here? I try to find but it seems i don't know how to find it.

about KEH.com, i like them and i bought my RZII and 501CM from them, the RZ was not good so far but not bad, i think they stated it as EX but to me it seems good at most, but maybe they write excellent for operating and working more than the body finish, and now i ordered my second order and waiting like a HELL and still they didn't ship it yet for almost 3 weeks, i called them twice but they apologize because of the shipping issue, so i will not order again from them if i need something urgent, i can't order another items and wait months to get it, sorry for that but impatient is not a case here.

It seems that 65mm is a lens for walkaround or general purpose lens, in fact i was looking for 65mm and 43mm or 80mm and 43mm, 50mm is great but i don't feel that i want it as a first lens, maybe second or third choice.

In all cases, i may love this camera but i don't think i really will use it many times, i have film cameras and that order i am waiting KEH.com to ship including GSW690, so this camera will have a play there and it will not make me to buy 2-3 more lenses for Mamiya7II but who knows?!!!

Those prices are ridiculous for Mamiya 7IIs

In Singapore I bought the body for about US$1,050 and the 65mm lens for about the same price. The 43mm lens was about US$1,750 - and these were new prices. I understand Mamiya gouging the pockets of North Americans and the issues about repairs in the US (...and Im sure even that can be dealt with via independent repair sites) but the OP indicates he's in the UAE.

In MTL, last year, I've seen one for 1220.00 CAD dollars with a 80mm... not bad :)

Almost bought it but I had just buyed a Leica with some happy lens...

I wish to know someone in Singapore or thailand or Hong Kong where i heard the prices could be as low as someone dream, but i don't know anywhere there, and also i don't know about the shipping and the stores who i may buy from, and about repair service or warranty, actually i am not a big concern about it, mostly i keep and save my gear for long time, and i am not sure if this camera will be used as extreme and i will break it or so, but i can understand about repairing if anything happened, in all cases i will try local places if they can do it for me, if not then i will send it overseas as a last and only option anyway, and yes, i am in UAE, is that a problem to get the camera sold and shipped to my country?

bought it as new or used?

I don't know where i can buy the camera as used rather than KEH.com, i know this site is popular and respected, but from my 2 orders i did so far they delay any order for so long time really, and i am planning to travel by October, so i am not sure when i will place the order, worry if i place it by end of August or by September then i will not get it by October, so i am trying to find another sites/stores to get that camera order in less than 3 weeks or 2 weeks at maximum.

Some ebay vendors (with 100% satisfaction feed back rate) are good resources. I bought my 7ii body & lenses (new) and am very satisfied. Michael

Cool, even i am not thinking to try ebay at all, but i think it is the time that i have to give them a try.
Thanks!

Have you looked at DigitalRev? They have a website and also on eBay, loads of good feedback, all pretty reasonably priced.

Thank you very much!

I checked DigitalRev, and the price is really great, but what is the condition? nothing they write about the condition, and i checked the review about DigitalRev and the feedback seems confusing, some said it is not good and some say it is good.

@Steveh, thanks for your PM, i read it and i will give you my reply later.

Ebay usually

Ebay usually

Ebay is usually where the cheapest prices are to be had. Most of my Mamiya 7 stuff I got there. Sometimes in deals with a body and/or more than one lens - usually I would keep what I wanted and resell the rest, which worked out fine. I went through a couple of 65s and 80s and a M7II body that way.

I think I bought one or two items at FredMiranda.com, and LuminousLandscape.com.

the 43 is a great lens, and really the best wide angle I've ever used. It's the reason to get the Mamiya 7 system, I think.

I just bought a 7ii from Digital Rev. It is brand new and the price was excellent which included next day fedex shipping.

I'm a Leica M3 & 5D2 and always wanted to try MF. I'm really excited!

I bought a used 50mm 7ii lens that I'm currently waiting for to get started!
