where to buy?

hello,
im new to fsu r/f and want to buy one. ive looked at olegs site and nothing really tempted me 🙁 is there anyone else who sells these r/f's? i dont really want to go through ebay unless i have to.
ive also looked at my fellow wulfruniuns (wolves) sticky about the various models, and im totally confused as to which one i should buy! 2 stood out from the crowd, the fed 2 and zorki 6. without creating an argument, which one is it to be?

www.fedka.com is about as good as it gets for FSU gear. I've bought a lot from him in the last few years, and have always been satisfied.

Fed2 and Zorki6 are similar in a lot of ways. Same shutter speeds (no slow speeds, top speed 1/500). The Zorki has a hinged back and (I think) fixed take-up spool. The Fed 2 has a removable back and removable spool. Generally speaking, Zorki viewfinders are brighter but with less contrast than the Feds. The Fed is knob wind.

You'll probably be happy with either one. I'll vote for the Fed-2, since I'm familiar with that camera.

Yes, Oleg`s selection is limited.
Save yourself the anguish of Ebay and go to Fedka. Yuri usually has a good selection of Feds and Zorki`s that he will stand behind.
Yeah, you could get lucky on Ebay too but the shipping charges , plus the wait , and the increased possibility of having to return the camera can often be more than you bargained for.

Well, as a Fed 2 owner I'd recommend that one, except that I also have a Zorki 6 and I'd recommend one of those too 😀 . But seriously, they're both very nice - they're different, but probably the best two choices for most usable FSU RF (If you lived a bit nearer to me, you'd be welcome to have a go with them). I suspect you'd be pleased with either.

Welcome to RFF, for starters.

Both the Zorki 6 and FED 2 are good cameras. In my view the edge goes to the Zorki, having lever wind and hinged back but they may not be features that tempt you or matter.

Since you are (presumably) rather close to me and I have all the major models of FED and Zorki, you'd be welcome to come see them to help decide, if you wish...

I happen to be selling my Fed-2 and I can guarantee that it works.

I'm not too close to Wolverhampton but you could take a train down south to check it out.
