I've checked the CV distributors in the US and have e-mailed CV directly with no luck. I purchased a 28mm 1.9 recently and the seller said he didn't have the tab. Anybody have any ideas as to where I can find one? Perhaps someone with the lens doesn't use the tab and I could purchase it from them (please.)?

stephen doesn't have one?
No, he stated he doesn't sell "screws."

Visit a tool and die maker or machine shop and have them measure the pitch and diameter of the screw that the lens requires. Then call a screw and gear company and buy an appropriately- sized/pitched screw and Voila. Done and done.
rbsinto... are those post style screw readily available?

No idea, but what's the difference?
A correctly sized/pitched screw cut to the correct length so you can use the lens to take pictures is in my mind the reason for the exercise.

Just screw in anything with the correct height/diameter. I am pretty sure you will find it in your house.

We've got a place around here called Fastenal which would likely be able to help you out- they've got a remarkable stock of everything threaded. If they don't have this kind of part they could likely find a suitable cap of some sort that could fit onto a threaded rod to mate with the lens.
That is one beautiful lens BTW. Love that olde tyme knurling.

Thanks for the help guys. Just to be clear... I don't need just any old screw. You can use the lens without the focusing lever... so it is not that. I just like the CV focusing lever and don't want to just rig up some ugly screw. I was hoping maybe someone that owns this lens and doesn't use the lever would come to my rescue.
This old thread shows that CQ used to carry them... he said the lens is no longer made so he doesn't carry them. Wasn't very friendly about it with the screw comment IMO. And yes, I was clear about what I wanted by including pictures...

i might have one available soon. i ordered one of those focusing tabs to use as i don't really care for the posts. if the tab works then the post will be redundant for me.

I have been looking for one too, and made a thread about it here somewhere. I had a pretty short reply from the guy at CameraQuest.
Back Alley, you ordered one of the tabs on the eBay link? How does it attach?
