Does anybody know where I can get a Rose battery switch cover for my M6TTL? The maker seems to have gone out of business. I sometimes enjoy using a meterless camera, but taking the batteries out is a bit of a pain. If anyone know of other similar devices, I'd be interested in those as well.

'I think his place of business burned down a couple of years ago.'

Yeah, there's a photo.net thread about it, but I'd hoped that he had rebuilt and was selling through another outlet. The domain name is still registered, but it's a private registration, so contacting him might be difficult.

I'd happily take a used one if I could find one.

On eBay you can buy a slew of batteries for pennies, and that Lutz Konnerman guy in Switzerland will sell you a descrete velcro and foam thingee that straps onto your neck strap to carry a couple of spares at all times. Surely you don't burn through batteries that fast but at 10 cents a pop it is easy enough to sprinkle a few spares in the car, jackets, bags, etc.

Not worried about burning through the batteries, I'd just like to be able to use my M6 without the meter at times.

This is the Rose Battery Cover that I received with an M6 purchase (just a quick D-Lux picture). It is basically an electrical switch that allows you to turn off the metering on the M6 from the battery instead of the shutter wheel. Mine came with this cherry wood canister. The Rose screws into its top. From the comments of my M's previous owner, he used the Rose quite a bit, but I haven't used it at all. I haven't decided whether I want to sell it or not.
