Where to get "cron 50mm/2 (current) lens cap from ?

Recently lost the cap, put an ad here on RFF and photo.net willing to purchase few of such - so far no one is willing to part with their (or their spares)...🙂

So, where to acquire such (aside of Solms) ? I wouldn't mind used ones, no matter cosmetics, as long as they are functional.

Any Leica main dealer can get you this part, Alex. Try leica-camera.com to locate one. Those caps just fly off all on their own, don't they?

Thanks, just figured an Leica distributor in my country, made a call. Not in stock, needs to be ordered may take at least several weeks to arrive.
Just out of curiosity, now much the new cap may cost ? I suspect they may be trying to charge me an outragous price just for Leica name on it...

Well, if you don't insist on the Leica name on it and just want a lens cap, you can always buy a generic 39mm lens cap for $2 and save yourself the bother with the Leica label 😉

Yes, that is what I'd certainly consider. No matter what is written on the cap, what only matters how good it is in usage, i.e. how firm it sits on the lens....
I suspect though 39mm sizes aren't readily available in our local stores - too uncommon size in our all-consuming DSLR era...
