where to go with my favorite camera?

I am down in Los Angeles right now, and really want to do some landscapes in black and white with my little 35mm rangefinder and my big 4x5. Where should I go? Where would you go?

I will do some cityscapes too, and something by the ocean, and some in the Calabasas area with all those oaks in the rolling hills. But how about something more creative. I just don't know the area that well.

Head out to Malibu, if your in Calabasas your not to far, and go to El Matador state beach. It's awesome! Take Las Virgenes Canyon to PCH, there's alot of good stuff along the way. ALSO, if you head north on Topanga Canyon you'll hit some pretty cool rocks that people are always climbing, good area for hiking and photos. Have fun!

For cityscape stuff, Manhattan and Venice Beaches are interesting with the piers. If you don't mind driving a bit, then take a 2hr drive out to Santa Barbara.
