Hi All,

I've got two Bessa Rs that need a CLA (more the 'A' part than anything else--for the RF. Too many jolts)

I'm in the Boston area, and am wondering where you've sent your Bessas for a CLA, what I can expect to pay, and did you like the service?

Thank you,

-CJ

CJ,

Contact Stephen at at Cameraquest. He's the official distributor of Voigtlander's and I'm sure he could help you.....

Stephen at Camera Quest is the guy. But an adjust of the rangefinder is not too hard.

See - http://www.cosina-voigtlander.com/content/view/58/82/ - if you want to try it yourself. The instructs aren't specific to the R but should work. Screws to adjust might be in different place than the instruction but are still under tghe hotshoe. I did mine a yea or two ago with success.

Thank you, but...

Thank you, but...

I'd rather leave this to Stephen's skilled repairfolks. My dexterity leaves much to be desired these days, and I'd rather not risk it. Hell, I don't know if I could manage doing the light seals in my 35RC. :bang:

I've heard good things about Gandy's repair service, and pretty soon I'm going to send off the more hideously inaccurate Rs for an adjustment.
