Probably a stupid question, but I'm unsure about the lens mount on the Canon 0,95 (rangefinder NOT TV version).

Cutting a long story short, I bought a Canon 7 with the 0,95 and sold the camera before sending the lens to a reputable repairer for conversion to Leica M mount.
Now a few years have elapsed and the lens is being sent back unconverted, so I decided to buy another Canon 7 to be able to use the lens, after all.

I'm unsure whether I can buy any Canon 7 or whether the mounts on the cameras vary. So simple question: can I choose any Canon 7 or do I need to be specific to one particular model?

Naturally any other Canon 7 pointers and recommendations gratefully received, as I've never used one.

If the lens fits on a Canon 7, that means it's LTM mount, yes? If so, then just get a LTM > M adaptor to fit it onto a Leica. Or am I missing the point?

The diameter of the f/0.95's rear element is too wide to incorporate an M39 mount, so Canon improvised with a bayonet mount not unlike Nikon's external mount.
