Of all the vehicles I have driven (and ridden), there are a few that I wish I had gone ahead and purchased over the years.

I owned a 1964 VW camper. I wish I had bought a Bay window camper when I could have gotten one new.
Others, almost any British sports cars, new or old. I remember riding in a Sunbeam Tiger that a friend had bought for $1500.00. Or the Healey 3000 a co-worker took us to lunch on, another under $2,000 ride. But, the best was a co-worker's Pantera picked up for $12,000. A huge amount of money for 1979, but easily done with the money we were making at the time.

1954 Porche 356. Almost, but kids came too quick and better half wouldn't let me put em on the luggage rack.

And there is number two on my list, the Caterham!!! Not that I could have afforded one but just maybe way back when....
Number three has to be the TR6...almost bought a number of them but wound up with five MGBs, one Midget and an MGTD over the course of 35 years.

Daimler DE36. Bristol 402. Both were made in fewer than 25 examples. Sunbeam Talbot Alpine (NOT the ordinary Sunbeam Alpine).

The DE36 sold well to the royal family. Most of the others went to undertakers and the Docker family. The one I missed had a hearse body. 5.3 litre straight eight. VERY thirsty. I've driven two of them. Sad story about how I missed 'mine'.
Bristol 402: drophead version of the 401 and 403 (still not common cars). 2.2 litre straight 6. Couldn't quite afford the one I drove.

1963 Cadillac Coupe DeVille convertible. Gold with white leather. I couldn't pull the trigger on a trade (1967 Ford Fairlane GT). The Ford was way too fast for me. The Caddy was a highway star.

For me, there was never a car I wanted, but didn't buy. But there were those which I did buy, but foolishly sold.
The most notable are my 1970 Dodge Challenger 340 convertible, and my 1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE. Few of either model were made, fewer still exist today.
Honorable mentions are my old '66 Mustang GT, 1995 Mazda RX7, and my last car, a 2006 Pontiac GTO.
Being a car nut, I have owned around 60 cars and motorcycyles during my life. Before I moved to Japan I had to get rid of my GTO, a Jeep Rubicon, and a Yamaha R1.
Ironically enough, I now commute every day by bicycle. For the first time in my life since I was 16, I don't own a car. Last week I went to look at a 50cc Vespa for shopping. Oh how the mighty hath fallen!

A used 1966 Chrysler Crown Imperial that I once found while driving around lost in Greenville SC It'd been repainted with several coats of jet black Imron paint and had the 413 engine and leather seats...$3500 in 1985. Think "The Black Beauty; from the Green Hornet movie...

My grandfather loved the Buick Wildcat. His last two cars...
I've enjoyed owning a lot of different cars over the years, pretty much any that I wanted enough I owned and drove for at least a while. The only two that got away were a 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB and a Bugatti 35SC Atalanta Coupe.
I'm very happy with my present car, but if I could have another, older car just for the fun of it, a Lancia Fulvia 1.3 Coupe is next in line.

When I was, ooh, early twenties, I had a choice between a BMW 2002, and a Triumph Dolomite Sprint. Both were within my price range - that is, I could afford to purchase them (if I didn't mind "holey" shoes) but couldn't afford to run either.
I chose the Dolly.

Carrera, in'68 back from VietNam and looking for a car.
Found the '54 Porsche and a '65 Pontiac LeMans. My cousins talked me into the LeMans and I've developed a callous on my ass from kicking myself ever since.
