One was printed on a B&W paper, and the other on color paper yet there's another difference that the B&W paper was one of a what do we say, shiny/bright?? surface while the other was a bit mat...

Probably there isn't much difference considering that they r both on disk now, but i don't like the B&W paper available... 😡

I think that toned colour B&W printing should be exercised a little more subtle than you've done here.. The strong colour cast makes the contrast range in your picture smaller. The whites are not white anymore, their brightness levels have dropped considerably. The gloss that you see in the straight B&W print is not there anymore..

They are both the same but I like the 1st one better because it's "real" B&W. 😀

U r right, but it's kodak labs printing :bang:

I've had C41 B&W printed on a 1hr colour machine, but have never seen such strong casts..

The operator should be able to correct the printer for this.. but I assume he/she left it set for Kodak Ultra 400 or something like that..

It was a T-max 400, that's why i had to leave it there, I've had a serious argument with the man, he told me in the end, well there's nothing we can do about it, we did all the righ moves, we even washed the negative twice 😕 😱
