from the advice i have been given. think the R is a really good camera to start with.
L has some limitations compared to the R.
and R is not too expensive too!

The consensus seems to be that the person posting as "Chico" is actually a former member with not just one, but several, axes to grind. So until there is real evidence that this is not the case, no, no one is likely to post anything that might be helpful.
So as far as it goes, I hear the Heliar 50/3.5 is a very sharp lens... 😱

Better for what? If I had to fend off an attacker I'd opt for the R. What do you intend to do?

to find off an attacker use a KIEV 60, swing from the hips and make sure you follow through [it is best to use an after market strap or you may LAUNCH the camera clean over the attacker and end up with colateral damage to some poor smuck just passing by 😀rpsawin said:
