wow....thank u all for your valuable opinions.... i'm using a m3 and have just bought
a 90mm elmarit f/2.8 1965 lens....
the lens is in excellent condition(from photos and hopefully the real thing as well)
and should probably reach me hands in a couple of days.......
btw, i'm a bokeh fanatic....
here's one taken with nikkor 50mm f/2 hc.... not the best compo but just to illustrate the bokeh...

I have a 90/2.8 from 1965 as well. A very good year indeed!
This example doesn't say anything about out of focus performance. I think it says a little something about in focus performance.
For your future reading and viewing pleasure, the search feature in Forum area and the Gallery area will provide more reading and samples than you care to see. You can pretty much bank on any rangefinder body and any lens made for rangefinders being discussed at great length. Beware: 35mm Summicron may yield more information than you really wanted to know.

i wasn't born when my m3 and the 90mm were made.... 1956 and 1965....how ironic...
