i am trying to order diopters asap tonite for my m-7 and need some advice.. if i wear 1.75+ glasses ( and i actually need to get a stronger pair..) and i keep my glasses on while i focus, what diopter would i get? i do have -5 that i bought before i wore glasses for my m-6 and that seems ok but i could use a slightly clearer view.
The M7 eyepiece is corrected for -.5. So now the combination of your vision and the viewfinder is +2.25. These thingys are not inexpensive. I would go to the eye dr to confirm your prescription before buying. You then buy the diopter that matches your vision correction. So if you end up with a combined correction of +3, you buy a +3 diopter. -5 is pretty stong, that was before you wore glasses?

In the Old days, you went to a dealer and he would bring out a DIOOY, and you could test the various diopters to see which one would suit. Now it seems no-one uses them anymore

Well, It is Kinda cool .........But once you've figured out the right diopter you need........
It sorta loses Its charm
Although It's a great conversation piece if you leave it on whilst shooting

Gee.... too bad u weren't closer to me... you could charm me with your Diooy just long enough for me to see what i need...
