Hello All. In a very recent discussion, Marc A. posted an image, and allowed others to try and determine which lens was used to form the negative. Now, let's try another sample, and see what comes up. Here's the image:

I'm looking forward to your replies! Enjoy!

From the field of view, I'm guessing it's a 90. And in this image, it looks to be a fairly sharp and contrasty lens too, so I'll take a stab at a modern Leica Elmarit-M.

It's not an Industar or any other Tessar type lens. Looks to me like a fairly modern lens, by overall contrast and lack of veiling flare from the windows/lights. People here mentioned 90mm Leica, but it doesn't look all that tele to me.. perhaps a 50 or maybe 75 ("maybe" because I never had a chance to use 75).

Don't think it's a 90, think its a 35-50.

But which one is hard to tell since it's so sharp ... Even an Olympus XA could have shot this ...

How tall are you Burninfilm ? 🙂

Roland.

Is this a RF lens ?

my question too! 🙂 looking at burninfilm's signature, I don't see an RF that is capable of interchangeable lenses. I see an Iskra and an Oly XA. I agree that the image looks modern, but I see it as a longer focal length, because of the somewhat compressed background. How about some hints?

🙂

Hey guys/gals. Looks like we've had quite a few different attempts at nailing down the lens. Okay, here's some hints:

It's a 50mm.
It is vintage, and yes, it's a RF lens (I recently got an M2)

I'll try and get some more hints up later if these don't help.

Just before I tell you which lens I used, are there any other guesses?

And be looking out for another picture in Marc A.'s new post!
