Hi all,
I have a Canon 50mm f1.4 ltm lens (purchased here on RFF classifieds). I'm looking for a GXR & A12M on the big auction site, and obviously I'll need an LTM to M adapter...

My question is, which one would you recommend? I see Voigtlander branded ones and no-name cheap ones. Some say 35/135 or 50/75, which is presumably the frame lines that the adapter will trigger on an RF body.

Does it matter which type I should use on an GXR A12M?

Thanks for any advice!

Any of the different models you mention, 28/90, 35/135, 50/57 will do exactly the same on the GXR-M module where there are no frames to be selected.
But the quality matters, it is a rather simple piece of equipment but it has to be built with strict tolerances and sometime with the cheap ones you may run into troubles.

The Voigtländer adapters are very good, as good as the Leica originals, IMO. While it doesn't really matter on GXR, Nex or the like, it's probably a good idea to get a 50mm adapter. Who knows, maybe one day you'll have a M-mount rangefinder body (happens very easily if you read this forum) or wish to sell your lens to someone who does.
