The R2 is my first Modern Bessa. I am thinking about a Bessa L for my CV25. Great Street shooter / Candid camera. It has an external light meter readout. Perfect to get a reading/adjust camera, and then point to shoot! Too bad that feature was not carried over to the RF Bessa's.

Got an R. I've also got a 1927 (or so) 6x9 Bessa folder, but I guess that doesn't count :)

Bessa R with Nokton50 and L with Skopar21 are my companions. I'm happy with both of them.

the R might be the perfect modern rangefinder, i have been using one for almost 2 yeras. leica should have done something like this (a plastic 'economy' m). some time this summer i am planning to get a used leica or maybe that new r4m...

I have an R3M and its great - I also have :

A Folding Bessa from 1929
Two Bessa RF's from 1936 and 1939
Two Bessa 66's from 1936 and 1937
A Folding Bessa from 1948/9 and a Bessa 1 from mid 50's....:D

The Bessa has a great lineage!

R3a! I really like the finder... Still waiting for my 40 1.4 to arrive.. I'm using a loan 35 1.2 for now...

I have 2 R2 camera bodies and Im looking at getting a R2M to try out. The R2 cameras are great and thats how I migrated from SLRs to rangefinders, no need to explain why I did that.

My R3M is the truly affordable Leica MP. All manual, makes me think and that 1:1 magnification lets me shoot with both eyes open. Using mainly my 50mm these days. RF Heaven.

be intersting to see which Bessa or CV lens is the "most often sold." I see so many of the 15mm lenses for sale, seems like folks get 'em, try 'em and sell 'em.

I bought an "R", and think it's great. "M"-mount lenses are pricey, so I'm quite happy. I'm saving for a 21/4, (already have the 35/2.5, a 50/1.8, and the 75/2.5) then this kit will be complete. Some have said that the "R" seems a bit less solid than other models, but I haven't noticed any lack of quality.

Regards!
Don

For me, it's only one Bessa, the T-model

I like the Bessa-T more
than the Leica M4,
It'd be a close call,
if the T weren't that small,
and the M hadn't kilos galore..

A beautiful black R2M with 2.0/50-Heliar accompanies my Leica since August 2006. Camera and lens are great, no problems so far. I enjoy every moment with these two.
