which one would you pick?

A dilemma presents itself: I can buy a rollei XF 35 and a yashica electro 35 CC. Which one would you like? I think the sonnar lens would be terrific, but the yashica has aperture priority instead of programmed auto exposure, and has the 35mm focal lenght.
I'm looking forward to your opinion!

I got a Rollei XF35 recently. Shot a few frames with it. My impression is that it's nice for a point & shoot, but image-wise there's not much to write home about... think I can achieve that with most of my other cameras, too.

So it'd not be a dilemma for me, since I haven't yet got a Yashica 35CC. I would get a 35CC if offered at the same price, anyway, because 35CC seems better specified and obviously rarer.

I should add that, I haven't shot a lot with my XF35, and I haven't been disappointed with it, really. The 40mm focal length is long enough to make a difference from all those 35mm I got. It's good for what it does.

By the way, before buying the Rollei I already own a Voigtlander VF135, an almost identical twin of XF35. Somehow the test pics from my Rollei look slightly better to me... perhaps it's just psychological effects 😛

I have an XF35 too, and it's not anything special. The lens is perhaps a little better and of course faster than the average Tessar type lenses that most of the cameras in that class have, but it's not a huge difference. For serious photography aperture priority AE is of course much better than programmed AE and the lens is probably as good as well, so I would go for the Yashica.

Its lens is nothing to worry about. I don't want to compare it to the sonnar but it stands on its own without any comparisons.

I don't know anything about the Yashica Electro 35CC, but if the lens is of the same quality as the one on my GSN, it's a no-brainer.
