I need a fast, compact but excellent camera for hand-held street photography.

Contax T3, Leica Minilux (40 mm f.2.4) or Contax G2 with 28 mm?

Thanks

Gianluca

I'd probably go for a Rollei 35(T) with the Tessar.

Or something more classic, such as a folding Retina, maybe a little half-frame Agfa Optima-Parat, the first Kodak Signet, possibly a Zeiss Ikon Ikonta or Contina with uncoupled rangefinder.

Or maybe, a small 1970s Japanese rangefinder, which are in plentiful supply, such as the Olympus RC 35, Konica C35 and others.

Maybe a Voigtlander Vito IIa or Vito B or Vitomatic IIb.

Or ...

I've not shot the T3, but shoot T2's. They are very compact, simple in operation- including exposure compensation and aperture selection, and the flash will not fire unless you want it to, which can help in being discreet. In fact I'm considering taking only the T2's on this next trip, which might help make it feel more like a vacation which I desperately need.

Quality of the lens on the T2 is truly excellent.
