I´m about to acquire an M-P 240, and have seen the threads recommending mainly the Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s 64GB card. It seems, however, that Sandisk has sent out newer Extreme Pro SD cards. The speeds are faster now.

Is anyone here able to guide me in choosing a currently sold card model (64GB minimum), that is tested with an M-P 240, and found not to cause issues?

Also, I would appreciate it if you could tell me how many pictures a 64GB card can hold, if shooting RAW+JPEG fine.

Congratulations on your M-P 240, I am sure you will enjoy it.

I checked my M 240, and the card I am using is "Lexar Professional" 32GB. It has 300MB/S transfer rate (2000x speed). I have been using this card since I got my M 240 and it functions perfectly. It is very fast, no problems with lag.

I have tried other cards, like a Panasonic 32GB "Class 10" card, and it was noticeably slower.

I think it is important to choose the fastest card that you can afford.

I have a bunch of 64GB cards from when I had my Sony setup which I will really only use for travel. They're too big otherwise for a day or two of shooting.

I use a handful of Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB cards and I have a couple Lexar 1000x 64GB cards which work fine too.

I've never had any trouble with my Sandisk cards in my 240.

Thank you, Robert and Abram. Good to know. I´ll start out with a Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s 64GB card, which I found now at an internet dealer, and probably look into the Lexar Professional cards.

My dealer has not yet received new stock of M-P 240, but he should this week.....
