Which SLR?

I suppose it all boils down to personal preference. My favorite SLRs: the Nikon F3HP -great viewfinder, and the FM3A -great form factor. Favorite lenses: the Nikkor Ais 1.2/50 and the Ais 2.8/28. Also the Canon EOS 5 with AF is great with a variety of L glass, the L 2.8/16-35 being the most favored. Cheers, OtL

Talk about lenses is very vague most of the time; without saying how large you print it becomes meaningless. Print 4" x 6" and I'm convinced every lens would be excellent to very good.

Print 12" x 8" and we might start sorting out the sheep from the goats but I've noticed a lot of people only print 10" x 8" and that means the edges aren't used and so it gets sillier and sillier.

Sometimes I think we also should add that we always use a lens hood and no filter or vice versa...

And then, every now and again, someone comes along who uses a despised camera with a hated lens and they produce brilliant shots.

Just my 2d worth and I've not even mentioned tripods since I seen just one in use in the past 2 or 3 years; apart from mine.

Indeed. This can be a problem for left-eyed, eyeglass-wearing photographers.

So I use my right eye, but I wonder about adding the MD-12 or a Y.I.C Power Winder ($20 on EvilBay)? Would that give you enough room?

Just a thought.

Would adding a motor drive or an autowinder allow one to turn on the camera without pulling out the wind lever?

My 35mm SLRs are Minoltas. The Nikons in question are also problematic in that one can't see the whole finder through eyeglasses.
