The possible Vitomatics that fit as far as I know are:

II
IIa
IIb
IIcs
IIIb
IIIcs

1) Have I left any out? Some sources contend there are different versions of some of the above - for example, IIb and IIB - but that seems wrong, correct?
2) Each except the II show metering in the VF, correct?
3) All have coupled RFs (all the I versions do not), correct?
4) Some sources contend that only the b and cs versions have 1:1 VFs, others that all of the above do. Which is correct?

You are absolutely correct!

The "I" models (I, Ia, Ib and ICS) have a 1:1 finder, but no rangefinder patch. All others have 1:1 finder and coupled rangefinder.
All "a" models show the metering in the finder AND outside. The I and II (without a)outside only.
The b and CS models show the metering in the finder only.
All Ultron Versions have a total lens focusing.
The I, II, Ia IIa with ColorSkopar have also full lens focusing.
The Ib, IIb (with Color Skopar) have front element focusing only.
All IIIb and IIICS have Ultrons. All Ib IIb ICS IICS have Color Skopar lenses.
The IIa mostly have Color Skopar lenses, but some were made with Ultrons on special order, too.

The b and CS models show the shutter-time combination in the finder, too. Not sure about the other models.

The rarest is the IIICS, only 4200 were made.
Maybe the IIa with Ultron is also rare, I have no numbers for this camera.

Hmmm.......any questions?

The rarest is the
