Hi everyone, I am still very new to rangefinder, but I have loved it a lot. I just started with Leica M9 few months ago and this forum has helped me when searching for information about rangefinder. I thought of sharing a street photo I took while in Brisbane last week using the M9 and Zeiss 50mm ZM lens.

Happy to hear any critique from anyone. Thanks much!!!

You have an excellent start, but time to do some serious editing. The eye always goes to the area of highest values, and words attract attention like crazy. All this will detract from the photo as you see it, or want to see it. Edit out all the words, adjust the values so that the eye goes to what you wish to present, and crop the sides a little maybe so it's simple, simple, simple.

As Ansel Adams said, I don't take photos, I make them. Never be afraid to do judicious editing to get a shot just the way you want it. Be careful when using strong color too, as a hard, saturated color will attract a different feel than a soft one. Blue usually leads the eye into the background, since we equate that w/ the sky. Basic compositional stuff.
