White spots on scanned negs?

Scanned some negs that have lots of white spots on them (can't see them with the naked eye as the spots are very small indeed). Dust in the scanner or an error in processing? The spots are pure white and a few of them look to be regular-sided shapes...
Film (Rollei Pan 25) was processed by my local lab, they normally do a good job...

What scanner are you using? you could have dust on the glass if you use a flatbed. My problem is black spots - I'm getting pinholes during development - THAT is more worrying! 😉

Test a few negs, or test the same neg after dusting. If the spots don't shift then I'd be worried

Spots shift around - its Nikon Coolscan so should be reasonably dust-proof. However, do have a dusty flat and the Nikon has been a bit of a workhorse...
