Am I alone in thinking that that is one of the nicest and most underrated Leicas ever produced? Thats right up there with a BP M4 on my want list now.
Absolutely yes but the "MP Classic" is even more underrated and that makes it more desirable IMO.

Wow they have either shot up in price or thats a very expensive one. I looked at one in a shop in Paris about a year ago for 1850 euro (2000 dollars) and that was in quite an expensive dealer. I'll stay away until I can get one for a better price than that.
Thanks for the heads up though.
The same deal with the Classic MP, beautiful camera, just a little too pricey to be a user for my budget.

Loving mine. IT's my go-to meter M. Love the big dial, red dot (currently changed to black dot), old rewind knob, blackpaint brass top over the regular M6.
Everything I wished the MP to have except the flarey Viewfinder.

Very nice
Personally, I'd swap out the rewind and preview levers from MP style ones--black paint of course! I like the lens too.

Just started a Flickr group for the Leica Millenium. All RFF-members who have such a camera are invited to join the group.

You can add # 1348 to the list. This is my Millennium, finder was converted to 0.58. It is by now a well seasoned camera.
Piece of trivia: When Leica was working on the LHSA and Millennium cameras, I assisted with some input on the type of paint to use and the "glossiness" of it. At that time I suggested that they also paint the film-counter dial black with white numbers. This was taken from a series of original black paint DS M3's made in the 50's. It looked better than the bright chrome disc of the regular dial.

BP lens prices are crazy. I should have reached and bought a BP 50 Lux a few years ago when I had a chance for @$1,400. But my new friend got the Luigi treatment last night and will start service as my user Leica today. Here is a better photo.
